Nancy's Story
Life
Having wished often that I could come here and read what my old classmates have been up to, I guess I'd better start with myself, and hope others follow. I married a rancher from New Mexico in Dec. of 55, and we have lived here in New Mexico ever since, other than a few years while he went to college.
We have been in a variety of business besides ranching, including secretarial work for the Soil Conservation, a meat packing plant for 8 years, fill-in church secretary off and on, and a gift store for 28 years, and the local movie theater since '84.
We have 5 kids, 15 grandchildren and one great-...Expand for more
grandchild, all living in various parts of the country, including Denver, California, Houston and Tennessee. We are very active in the United Methodist Church in Clayton.
Would love to hear from anyone from the class of 54 or 55. I was unfortunate enough to miss graduating with the class I grew up with because of a bout with rheumatic fever in the tenth grade. Should have graduated in '54, but lacked only two classes being able to do so. Consequently, I had to do another year of school and graduate with the class of '55. So my heart has always been with the class of '54 as well as the class of '55.
