Nancy's Story
Life
Des Moines has been my home since 1970. After graduating from Des Moines Area Community College, I began a 33 year career as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
I retired from the VA Medical Center in 2005 after 29years of service.
I married my husband, Ron, in 1974. We each had a son and daughter of similar ages, and now have nine grandchildren. and...Expand for more

We enjoyed taking road trips. Many times we traveled in our Streetrod. We have driven as far west as the 4 corners and Needles, Ca,, east to Kentucky and north to Mackinaw Island. Our favorite trips were driving the original Route 66 from Chicago to Ca. We never finished the final stretch across California before Ron passed .
