Nancy's Story
My husband and I met the summer after graduation. He graduated from Camden also in '59. Two years later we were married and lived for a brief time in Long Beach while he completed his assignment with the US Navy. In 1963 we moved back to San Jose with our little baby boy. The following year we received into our life our daughter. We now have five grandchildren ages 18 to 28. We also have a two great granddaughters and one great grandson. Looking for a better place to live and raise our children with less traffic congestion we moved to Truckee in 1979. It has been a life enriching experience. The summers are great but the winters can be challenging. We like living in the mountains and enjoy all the beauty that the Sierras offer. We have been here 37 years and can not think of any place we would rather be.

me being able to reconnect with three of my closest girl friends in high school and I also became a member of the 50th year reunion committee. We have about two meetings a year plus a 2006 New Years gathering at Marla's home and a BBQ in June of this year put on by the reunion committee but open to any class members that wanted to attend. Over thirty people attended the BBQ and many more classmates have looked at the pictures that were taken at the BBQ. A great time was had by all and we are having fun getting reacquainted before the reunion. In 2009 the class of '59 had a beautiful two day reunion.
My husband and I enjoy traveling. We have been to Niagara Falls, Washington D.C., Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, The Grand Canyon, Sequoia and Kings Canyon, San Diego, Florida, Hawaii, Georgia, Atlanta, Savannah, and Charleston, North Carolina, Virginia Beach to mention a few trips.
