Nancy's Story
Life
Out of the classroom on to a farm. Hey there are lots of similarities! Always interesting, something new daily, and often noisy!!! I taught school in Knoxville/Knox County for 28 years. In 2003 I had to take early retirement/disability. Boy was that fun!!! City, county, state, and social security!!!! Had my fill of gov't forms and hoop jumping.
May 1992 I was blessed with a "fairy tale" meeting of Jerry Pressley. October 1992 we were married. The past 15 yrs have truly been the most fulfulling of my life. Jerry is everything I ever dreamed of and more. We merged our families. We ended up with an 18 yr old son, a 16 yr old daughter, a 12 yr old daughter and a 11 yr old son. Boy, talk about a challenge!

In August we moved to Jacksboro, TN. I left the house I had lived in since I was a year old....it was time to go. The "old community just ain't what it use to be!" We have a 9 acre farm with horses, chickens, rabbits, turkeys and guineas. The cows and pigs will come later.
The past several years have truly been a challenge. From October 2001 - October 2003, my mom passed away, my only birth son was killed, and I had to quit teaching. It has been a challenge to find the "me" that was left, but through God's grace, mercy, and love and the wonderful support of family and friends I am getting there.
