Nancy's Story
Anyone in class of '43 besides me? I would be remembered as DeeDee Schmidt and as having been the instigator of illicit night time visits to a dance or two at the College along with co-conspiritor MaryAnne Kennedy. Since then I have 1) studied at the Chicago Art Institute, 2) married a medical student (my brothers friend, Leonard Weyl), and supported him by doing graphic art till his graduation, and his surgical residency ended and his long, successful career as a surgeon found us settled in McLean VA, in a house with a barn, bunch of horses and dog...Expand for more
s and two lovely children. During these years I have enjoyed a sort of country life, fox hunting, long distance trail comprtitions while also painting (abstract American U style, but also historically accurate paintings in the assembly hall of my church in Georgetown.). Children now long married, have now produced two grandchildren for me to enjoy. Still hop on my old horse now and then, and sometimes enjoy dinner out with friend of my late husband. Well, you asked me who I am and where I've been -- now you have it.
