Nancy's Story
Hello to former classmates in Wisconsin and Florida! I'd love to hear from you!
After leaving John Marshall High School in Milwaukee and moving to Plantation (suburban Fort Lauderdale) in fall of 1967, I graduated from Plantation High School in 1969. Then I moved to Tampa to attend the University of South Florida, graduating in 1973 with a degree in mass communications.
I began my public relations career in Tampa at WTVT (then the CBS television affiliate). Moving to communications positions of increasing responsibility, I also was with IBM, Capgemini, and...Expand for more

I met my future husband, Tim Shannon when at this time. Tim was head of public affairs for CitiGroup in Tampa. We married in 1991.
Tim liked Fort Lauderdale, and I thought I'd give it a second try, so we returned to Plantation in 1995. For three years I was director of marketing for the largest independent accounting firm in Broward Co.
In 1998, IBM offered me a position in Atlanta. We relocated and have been here since, moving my mother next door after she sold her home of 33 years in Plantation. Mother passed away in July 2005.
