Nancy's Story
Hard to believe 45 years has passed so quickly. I remember St Anthony’s like it was yesterday. After 30 years of working as a lawyer in NY, I retired with my husband Chad to live in Springfield, IL. We train and compete bird dogs for fun. Spend about 5 months a year traveling with our horses and dogs and living out of a horse trailer. I thought I would ever do—pretty much the exact opposite of a desk job. Chad has two kids and six grandkids, and we take a ski trip every year with the whole family. I survived two rounds of breast cancer, and luckily had great doctors who kept me going with minimally invasive treatments that are now fairly standard. No kids of my own, unless you count 10 dogs and six horses 😁
