Nancy's Story
Still living in Rhode Island in 2008. Stepson is 25, son is 17 , and daughter is 14. I'm still working as well doing anesthesia. Husband runs his own practice in Cardiology with a bunch of partners. Son plays football and husband helps coach at the high school too, plus we have season tickets to the Patriots. So each fall it's all football, all the time. My daughter horseback rides and competes in jumping. We have a horse named Mephisto (Mack) whom we love and Casey trains and shows on. He's our 2nd horse believe it or not because she outgrew the first one (Valor). No, I never in a million years thought I'd own a horse, but once a kid starts to show competetively, it's almost a must. We board him at our trainers barn, not at my house thankfully. Our dog, Jenna, is the greatest dog that ever lived. She's a yellow lab and we adore her. ki evey winter as much as possible in Vermont at Sugarbush. Everyone is an exoert except me....I'm a solid intermediate and that is where I plan to stay. Needless to say I'm often off skiing by myself while my family go and jump off cliffs and ski off trail through the woods. Although it finally caught up with my husband this past winter when he skied into tree and broke his ankle. He's fine but probably has begun to feel his age a little more. My mom still live in Philly so I get down there occaisionally and we still try to get to the Jersey shore every summer. Even though RI is "the ocean state", nothing beats the beaches in Jersey. My mom just sold her house on LBI this past year which broke my heart but I can still rent even though it's not quite the same. I think about everyone often and look forward to reunions when they occur. The great thing about your childhood classmates is that we can't lie about our age or our roots. We all know who we are and where we came from. I hope to see you all soon. nancy
