Nancy's Story
Life
I've been in Missouri since 1993 and spent 10 years in Louisiana before that, so it's been a long time except one short interval that I've called Ohio "home". Having completely lost track of absolutely everyone over the years, thought I'd give this a try and see who's still around!
Nothing exceptional to tell- two great grown kids. Jill leads the life of academia, currently a second year senior with a double major and going on to graduate school. Matt serves in the U.S. Army and presented us with our first grandchild last August- a little boy that he named after proud Grandpa and Dad Jerry.
Jerry gives the word "stepdad" a new definition. We got very, very lucky when he decided to make us his family.
It's quieter here with the kids gone. I still have dogs-two at the moment, ...Expand for more
Widgit and Scooter- and still love to read, write, and shoot pool. I'm known to sing a karoake song or two (depending on beer one or beer two) and learned to ride bikes about three years ago- the 'motor' kind.
If any of ya'll are still out there, give me a shout. I probably wouldn't know you if I did see you on the street at this point!
Workplace
Think I've done a little of everything while we moved around- bank teller, proof machine operator, wood working shop, dog grooming, training, waitressing and even a short stint as a bartender (who couldn't mix drinks) when we first moved here. About a year after moving here, I was hired at a local hospital as a clerk in the laboratory- 13 years later I'm a Network Specialist in the IT Department. Go figure...I remember when I HATED computers!
