Life I have never married, and I really don't know why. (My brothers might be able to tell you why. HA HA) I have a group of friends I do things with here in Indy, and I still have old friends living in Northwest Indiana that I miss a lot. Life took an unexpected, sad turn when my mom passed away in 2000. It was very devastating to me, and pretty much a 'life changer". That year, 1999/2000, was really tough for me. I had a couple of MS flare-ups, and it seemed like whatever could go wrong, did. My motto that year was, "One disaster at a time, please." But, I really believe that year made me stronger. I made the decision to leave my teaching job in Indy because I was burnt out and wasn't doing anyone, the kids or myself, any good. So, I took an elementary counseling job in Gary, IN and loved it! I ended up with an amazing group of coworkers/friends and a great school. I bought the house I grew up in, which was, oddly enough, therapeutic (sp?). I stayed there for five years, and probably would have stayed longer if my school hadn't closed, or if I hadn't been laid off every year only to b...Expand for more
