Nancy's Story
Life
Following High School, I moved to Hammond, Indiana with friends. After doing my time there, I returned and went to work for Saint John's Hospital in Santa Monica. I worked in the organization for 18 years finishing as Manager of the Print Shop.
In the summer of 1988 I married Joe Weiler whom I met at a 10K race in 1981. Two months later we moved to Oregon. We own five acres on the Long Tom River about 20 miles northwest of Eugene. We own a restaurant in the country called "Eat At Joe's".
Joe and I do not have children. Although we presently have 2 dogs and 7 cats whom we refer to as our "four-legged" children. They are all named for sports figures. My husband is an avid sports fan as well as an athlete.

uch time for leasure activities. We like to travel once a year. And we explore Oregon as often as possible.
Workplace
I worked at a hospital in Hammomd, Indiana in 1970 as a Ward Clerk. Upon returning to Santa Monica, I took a job at Saint John's Hospital. I worked a few years as a Unit Clerk and then went on to employee education. From there I became the Manager of the Print Shop, where I produced all of the Hospital graphics, as well as all forms, etc.
In 1988 my husband and I moved to Oregon and I began working in ceramics. I was a slip caster and a pottery decorator for Contempory Clay. We produced and shipped stoneware around the world.
In 1997, we opened "Eat At Joe's" (named after my husband) and we have been serving up great food and conversation for over 5 years.
