Nannette's Story
Life
I live in Chesapeake Va with my husband of 19 years. My 15 year old son who is now in High school grade 10. That aged me a little. And a cat who owns us.
Over the 20 plus years since graduating ... I tried a semester at CCRI(RIJC at that time) Could not afford it so I worked a lot. I met my husband in 1987. He was stationed in Groton At the subbase on a sub. OCT 1988 We moved to upstate NY where he got shore duty for 3 yeas. Got Married 1989 Up there. We then Moved to beautiful Western WA state. s a year it has been mostly the boy and me. Husband retired 2003 and we ended up here in VA where he works at the Norfolf Naval Shipyard. He likes this job better than the navy. He goes home at the end of the day and if he does not, they have to pay him for it. He also gets to travel for his job and we can go. We have been to Hawaii, GA , and back to Wa.I am now just trying to get my son throught HS. I have a very smart kid who is in an advanced agressive program (IB)which will earn him Collage credits. 1 less year of collage to pay for. Not an exiting life but it is mine and I would no trade it for anything.
