Natalie's Story
Life
In 1980 I moved with my parents to Tioga and married a local guy the summer of 1983. One year later we had a baby boy and eleven months later another baby boy and believe it or not 14 months later we had another baby boy. I have stayed home to raise our children. Over the years we added to our family many times over with foster children. My husband is a supervisor for a gas plant and our 3 sons are active in high school wrestling, football, and legion baseball. We are currently in the process of adopting a girl who has lived with us for the past 3 years, she is 11. The adoption was finalized in 2001 and now she is 14. leted our family with an even 3 boys and 3 girls after the adoption of our youngest daughter who was born in 2000 and adopted in 2003. She is now 6.
Workplace
As for my work experience, I have very little outside the home. I have chosen to be a stay at home mom to raise our 6 children. My husband and I have been theraputic foster parents for about 15 years and that is a job 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, no paid holidays or vacations, no sick days or leave of abscence, no weekly paycheck and certainly NO fringe benefits with any healthcare company or retirement, such as a 401k etc. but it has been a career and a life I would choose to do in a second life given the chance!!
