Nathan's Story
My life in a nutshell since graduating from Coronado High School in 1976.
Personal life: My wife, Karen, and I have been married since May 1982. We were introduced by mutual friends when I was stationed in San Diego, CA. Karen and I have two wonderful children. Samantha was born in Exmouth Western Australia. Our son, Andrew was born in South Korea. We adopted him when I was stationed in Hawaii.
Professional life: I retired from the US Navy in 1999 after 23 years. I believe I was born to serve in the navy. I climbed through the enlisted ranks and eventually retired as a lieutenant. I served on three ships: USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), USS Trippe (FF 1075), and US...Expand for more

In June 2023 I retired from teaching. I taught social studies and taught in Rocky Ford (Jefferson Middle School), Colorado Springs (Sierra High School), Pueblo (Pueblo School for the Arts and Sciences) and Pueblo West (Liberty Point International Middle School).
Academics: I graduated from the University of Southern Colorado, Pueblo in 2003 with degrees in both History and Political Science.
Hobbies: I enjoy camping, gardening, bicycling (Both road and mountain bike) woodworking, and reading and numerous other activities.
