Navi's Story
Favorite way to relax? Running on the treadmill with incline feature while swinging 15LB dumb-bells and listening to my I-pod. Other way of relaxing: playing Nintendo Wii against my nephews.
I have lived in different parts of Queens since 1990. Prior to that, I was born and raised in the Caribbean: island of Trinidad. First, when I moved to NY with my family, we lived in Astoria for a year or two, and then moved out to Jamaica Estates, Queens where they bought a house and have settled. Finished 3 years of residency training a little further north in Westchester county in 2008 and now I'm back down where I know the areas better in Queens and Nassau county.
In real life, I don't have a hero. My role models are Dr. Eric Hoffer whom I met at North Shore hospital at Forest Hills--I saw him on staff there when I was doing my 3rd year clerkships as a young student, and he still has left a lasting memory in my mind; and Dr...Expand for more

If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the floors and carpeting and add on a few serigraphs from some impressionist artists. My dream home would be simply somewhere I could rest, invite relatives and friends; be spacious, and located in a place where I can walk across the street and buy milk and donuts.
My current age is 38. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be married with children. I was so completely naive and have lived a different type of life.
I'm currently an Internal Medicine specialist doctor, and Director of CME for a medical education company in Midtown Manhattan. We develop CME-accredited programs/lectures/online web activities for clinicians to earn CME credits required to maintain board certification and state licensure. I would like to establish some security with this current job by becoming a partner soon.
