Ned's Story

Workplace Worked as a maintenance technician for 10 years in what was originally the Budd Co., then bought out to Thyssen Krupp Budd, and now is Martin Rea Heavy Stamping in Shelbyville, Ky. Quit and went to work at Toyotetsu Mid America in Owensboro, Ky for 5 months as an Engineer. Re-hired at Martin Rea as a Maintenance...Expand for more
Group Leader for the 2nd shift press area. We make parts for Ford, GM, BMW, and Chrysler at this time. The majority of the outside body panels on the Explorer, BMW SUV, Saturn trunk lid, Ford F-series pickup doors, Expedition and Navigator sides, and the Chrysler Sebring trunk lid came or are being made now at this plant.
