Nellie's Story

Retired 5 years ago after 42 years working on financial institutions. Met by husband at the bank in 82. Married in 85. Before my husband got sick, many trips to the Philippines. A couple of family trips to meet his father’s family and engage more in the Filipino culture. Highlight for me, meeting the young Filipino boy we sponsored through World Visi...Expand for more
on. More trips to work at a children’s home, loving up the kids, construction projects and distributing Feed My Staving Children/Kids Against Hunger food packs. My husband passed away a little more than a year ago. Last spring, sold the family house his folks had built in the 50’s. Now living in WBL. After 65 years, trying to get used to living alone.
