Nereida's Story
I graduated in 1974. Never forget all myfriends, my Bakary class with Mrs. Deynes. Mrs. Egipciaco. Principal-Fransisco Rivera. friends from La Plata, Cerro Gordo-Teresa Medina, Las Marias, Cuchillas-Milagros Lorenzo La Cruz- , Nelson Medina(handsome guy) and all the ones that were (debajo de los palitos al lado de la Iglesia- con gutarras, haciendo chistes, compitiendo en las claes...y mucho mas. Stydies 2 years in CORA-Environmental Studies. Then worked at AVON in Aguadilla. Moved to CT. in 1985-March. Had 4 children and now, 21/2 year old granddaughter and 9 months old grandson. Back to my story, Obtained an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts-Edu. and Human Services in 1998 in Spld MA, My Bachelors Degree was from University of Mass. Received my MAsters Degree from Cambridge Collge in Boston, MA. Received a Graduates Certificate for 2 years Post Graduate at Cambridge College which some of the credits will go towards my Ph.D in Counseling Psychology. I divorced my 1st husband in 1990. After 20 years I got married again but that did not work out unfortunaly, and got divorced again in 2011. Now i will hopefully continue attending school to complete my Doctorate Degree if God permits. Well, I am very proud of my accomlpishments. I had travel to Europe, Mexico and almost all the United Stes. I love to drive, I drove by myself from Fl. to MA in 24 hours. I attend a Chriistian Church and have a lot of friends from many countries. I feel YOUNG and in good humor. Saludos a todos en Moca. Siempre los levo en mi corazon. Count on me for a clas reunion. I always wanted to be a scientist, doctor when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a fae away idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.

If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have patience, caring, and breathing techniques to be able to deal with the day-to-day.

The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is my father Pedro Medina, because he passed when I was only 10 years old and i always wanted to get to see him again.
I have a dog name Skippy who is 9 years old, chiuaua that almost talk and says mama. And spot who we got in Germany and passed in Dec 2010 from a frog poison.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel nothing now and add on a no need. My dream home would be brick home.
My middle daughter speaks four languages and get most of traveling with money management techniques. The youngest lived in Germany for 4 years and survived, my oldest daugter is the closest mto me and clalls me her hero and my son is patient, loving man, and always give 100 per of him, he never answers me back in a disrespectful manner.
If I won $100 million, I'd give equal amount of it to my children, then spend the rest on travel, school, donations to places where they will use some money wisely., clothes and a new car.
never experienced been in a dorm
My current age is 56. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be prosperous. I was so completely some what right.
25 years in Education and Human services and will continue this path
My best friend would tell you I'm fun and intelligent, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as too serious.
Depend on the situation. I dress modern and according to my age, not really think so, maybe younger.
I share my home with none, which I find n/a.
Many certificates, AMERICOPS, National Memberships such as Chapter I Parents, Mental Health Counselors Associations and other special awards.
In 10 years, I hope to be Psychologist. I'm going to get there by studing, complete academics.
Gladys Wright. Honest woman, met in a school meeting and always has one face she is not hiprocrit and always give good advice. She respects my family and our cultural diferences. We met 26 years ago and is still the same person.
My first job was at shoe factory, where I got paid not sure to na. What I remember most about it is left within 2 weeks.
When I went to my sisiter school for her first grade I was asking the teacher that i wanted to sing. Also when my father die, my sisiter and me wear a black dress.
