Ngoc's Story
These last several years have been more fun and scary than I could have possibly imagined. Grad school, check. Euro trip, check. Boost business skills, check. God's provision is incredible, so I have no excuse but to proceed as planned.
My next steps are to finance and create a company to support those in socio-economic risk, especially women and children. The mission will be to care for, support and sustain people, community and the environment by providing affordable, environmentally friendly, temporary housing and life skill services to assist at-risk families on their journey to self sufficiency. In the meantime, the low glam, high pay government job will continue to bring home the bacon. Or in my case, the fruits and veggies!
There is much to do: promoting and pitching, securing service providers and contractors, and the endless pile of forms. Sometimes I dare quit, then I think of those little mouths that need to be fed, and bodies that need warmth. And I think of your words of encouragement, and wished you knew how much you are a part of this. The good news is that the vision is clear, the need is there, and I have nothing to lose but sleep, pride, and a little nest egg. Nothing that a little time and a long walk can't cure.
