Nick's Story
Life
Well...let's see what I can remember from those days long ago...
I was an Air Force brat like so many others so we moved around a bit when I was younger so I will start with what I know.
We left Michigan when I was like 6 yrs old for Germany where I started school and moved back to Michigan when I was ten, only this time we were stationed at K.I. Sawyer AFB, which for me was home and always will be home.
I miss it and all the people there so dearly even to this day.
I started third grade at K.I. Sawyer Elementry school, Mrs Frassetto was my teacher and a lovely nice woman at that. I knew her son Dave and her husband, who was my chorus teacher at Gwinn Middle School.
I attended Gwinn High School during 87-90, would have graduated in 91 with all my friends, though in truth many had already departed due to their families being in the military; something to this day that I truly still am saddened by.
My own father decided to retire in late 90 and waited for me to finish my year there as a junior before packing us all up and going to Florida.
I hated him for years after that; no child should ever miss out on their senior year at the school they grew up in and loo...Expand for more
se out on everything that it means to be a senior.
I graduated a lone and silent voice in 91 down here in Florida at a hell hole called Deltona High, in Deltona Fl.
Been here ever since all the while wishing I was back up north.
Attended some college, but found that for computers hands on experience was the best and started working odd jobs to get that experience.
Currently I'm the IT Supervisor/Network Admin for a small company in Orlando Florida.
I'm still single, just haven't found the right person to be with, but I do want to have a family.
That's really about it...
I wonder what it would have been like if our generation had had access to the internet back in 1990-91? Would we still have stayed in touch? Would life be different today then it was then?
There are so many of you that I miss and would love to have just a moment of time to talk to you about the good times we had in the past.
If any of you remember the big idiot nerd that always carried a large leather book bag and had a tendancy to draw and doodle when he should have been listening to the teacher, please say hello!
