Nick's Story
Grew up in Bergen County and went to St. Joseph Regional High school in Montvale. Went through Army ROTC during the VietNam war and entered active duty in 1971 as a second lieutenant upon graduation from the University of Scranton. 2LT, Airborne parachutist, Air Defense Artillery officer. Went to the 1st Armored Division in spring 1972. Served as a General's Aide from Nov 73 until returning to the states in April 1975.
Still close friends with some of the greatest soldiers one could ever hope to serve with in the 70s and 80s and early 90s. The Air Defense Artillery Officer advanced course...Expand for more
of 1975 developed friendships that have lasted throughout the years. We had a reunion in 2005 down in the D.C. area and placed a wreath on the tomb of the unknown soldier together.
Upon retirement from the Army in 92, I became the first Troops to Teachers participant in the state of New Jersey. I taught for 7 years at Bradley Beach Elementary School. In 2003, after getting another Masters degree at Seton Hall University, I became a school administrator and love it. My students and their parents are great. It is a privilege to serve them.
Leisure time is spent playing golf and traveling.
