Nick's Story
Life
Hmmm...my life. Well the first few years after high school I was a Catholic priest doing a lot of work with unwed mothers. That didn't last long so I moved to Alaska and tried my hand at selling ice cream (didn't make the quota). I stayed there and started a career clubbing baby seals but that job gave me a headache and I never had any aspirin on me. So I moved back to California and went to work as a suicide hotline counselor...but that ended when I was reprimanded for putting callers on hold. I thought about becoming a used car salesman but I wanted something a little slimier so I became an attorney...and as if that's not enough, I got licensed in two states. Not being content selling out to the man doing corporate litigation, I obtained a real estate broker's license in late 2004 and opened my own small brokerage in Beverly Hills (in addition to continuing to work for my law firm).
In March 2007, I became a partner in my law firm (now known as Green & Campbell LLP) where we focus on real estate and construction lit...Expand for more
igation.
I've lived in LA for over 10 years now. Surprisingly, I love it here and doubt that I'll ever move back to San Diego. Fantasic martini bars, cigar lounges, season tickets to the L.A. Kings (a good ol' San Diego boy becoming an ice hockey fan), great steakhouses, enough plastic surgery to overfill a city dump...what more could you want?
I've got an incredible 9-year old son that looks like a mini version of me (poor kid's got some rough times ahead of him with that curse). He's been through some tough days but never let's it get him down. His capacity for love, happiness and laughter, while never ceasing to amaze me, reminds me of the joys of my own childhood.
I'm pretty happy with my life. I always look at myself and think I could do better but I realize that I've accomplished a fair amount, if not all, of the things I set out to do 20 years ago or more.
If anyone wants to reach me, my email is "nick at gdclawyers dot com" If you're in L.A., look me up and we'll grab some martinis. Hope everyone is doing well.
