Nicky's Story
After graduating from high school on a Wednesday night, I moved into the bunkhouse and began working for the Forest Service on the following Sunday. I have worked for the FS and BLM since then, at various locations in the state of Oregon.
I've enjoyed the excitement of working in fire related positions for the agencies throughout my career. I hung up my work boots in 2000 and began working in dispatch offices that support the firefighters and other folks that work ...Expand for more

I met my husband Rusty in the fall of 1994 and later married in the spring of 1997. We now have two boys who were both born in April, Clayton in 2003 and Trevor in 2005. Life is crazy, but it's good.
When I'm not working, I enjoy my family and friends. I enjoy having company over, cooking and entertaining, visiting and trying to master baking. My other favorite things to do are camping, hiking, fishing, and simply being in the outdoors.
