Nicole's Story
I want to be remembered as the one who left a smile on your face no matter how bad the day.
I always wanted to be a musician when I grew up; my best friend still teases, "You should be a lounge singer!" Though my musical dreams are realized with an MP3 of great 80's Classics, I'm still a legend in my own mind. :-)
My family and friends tell me so all the time!
Relaxation comes best through full-on belly laughter with loved ones or dancing around the house to loud music as if nobody is watching.
The wildest thing I ever did in school was cross the state line to meet my best friend at a party while telling my parents I was going to the club "Just Us." The one time I really lie they check up on me, and I got busted. I lost my car for 2 weeks.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have coffee, music, and gum to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
My Grandmother Vickery who just passed away at age 90 is my hero. I look like her and share her same spirit and Cherokee heritage. She gave birth to and raised 9 children, kept a home, and grew all their food with only a 10th grade education. However, she never stopped learning, questioning, or believing even when times were hard. Coming of age at the end of WWI & Depression, times were always hard in the Deep south, yet she endured, pressed on never complaining and always a smile on her face and song in her heart.

and the show What Not To Wear. I missed out on my 20's dressing, finding myself evolution so I am making up for lost time.
My biggest surprise is I adopted my daughter from China and spent 3 weeks there! She could not be more my own had I given birth to her. Having open heart surgery last year threw me for a loop as well because I was told as a child I was cured for life. Now I learn that "life" should have ended a long time ago, but thanks to modern medicine I get another chance - YEA!
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel kitchen and finish our master bedroom we started so long ago. My dream home would be the one I live in now.
My mother was right, I am paying for my raising.
My first crush is happily married to a friend of mine just as God in His infinite wisdom planned.
Lisa (Wrenn) Petty is my oldest friend, we met at church when we were 2. We attended Mrs. Wiley's playschool together all the way through GHS. Bill Grissom is another, our mothers rocked us together in the nursery at Mayfair.
My first job was at Brunos, where I got paid 3.15/hr to slice meat in the deli. What I remember most about it is the girl training me smoked pot in the back where she fried the chickens..
Senior Year I was President of Alpha Omega, and we had meetings at my house. My mother still talks about all the people spilled out through her house onto the lawn because there were so many people it was crazy.
