Nikki's Story

Life My husband and I got married in Florida in 1997, our daughter was born in 1998, and we moved to Michigan in 1999. Our son was born on Dec. 30th, 1999...almost a New Millennium baby! I've been a stay-at-home-mom since before my daughter was born, and I wouldn't trade it for anything, it's been a wonderful experience. We also have anew little addition who was born in 2006, she's now over a year old. I'm thinking of going back to work, although I am contemplating a medical transcription course first. Something would be nice! November 2007- we moved into my grandparents house. We finally sold our house and narrowly avoided a foreclosure due to the horrible real estate market. We're purchasing it from my Dad, everyone's happy about the way it all worked out. This place needs a lot of work- but we're excited about the challenge! School Well I have quite a few schools on my bio, so I thought I'd explain. I started school at Gilbert Elementary, then moved on to Crescentwood, then on to Fairglen for the most years in a row yet. After Fairglen I went to Clearlake for 7 & 8th. I started late at Cocoa High, and due to a horrible experience my mom decided to home school me. So I think I was at Cocoa High for maybe 3 ...Expand for more
months..woo. I was out of school then for who knows how long. I then decided, hey ma this isn't working I want to go back to school. I signed up for Rockledge High a little late sometime in 94 or 95. All I can remember about Rockledge High was that I was a little more popular than at Cocoa, and had actually gotten an anonymous carnation at Valentine's day. Made a few friends, and ran into old ones from Clearlake. I also realized that even if I had gone all 4 years starting as a freshman, even though my friends were sophmore's, did summer school all 4 years, did night school 4 nights a week, and did a full 7 classes every day till I graduate, I would still be a credit short of graduating and would have to do another full year. NOT WORTH IT! So that is when I made the decision to go to night school for my GED, it was all a learning experience, and I just pray I can keep my kids in school. I would hate for them to go through what I went through. But, if I hadn't of taken the route I had, my life might be very different. I might have been in the Air Force and not married to the wonderful man I am married to. So it's all good. Hope this clears things up! Cuz' I might be on the school list, but that doesn't mean you know me!
