Nikole's Story
Life
I decided to go back to school in 2000 and enrolled in Capital Area School of Nursing LPN program. I graduated from there in Jan. 2001 and then enrolled at MacMurray College in Jacksonville in their RN nursing program and received my Bachelors of Science Degree. I graduated in May of 2003. I have 3 children, Austin, Shelby, and Kody. I am married to Anthony (TJ) Swarts, Jr. My husband works for Logan Correctional Center. We have been married since June of 1996. We currently reside in Lincoln. I am looking forward to a reunion to catch up with all of my friends.
School
I attended Central for my grade school education. I then went to the Lincoln Junior High and then Lincoln Community High School. After about 5/6 years I decided to start going back and too...Expand for more
k some classes at Lincoln College. I then decided to get my LPN at Capital Area Vocational Center and my RN,BSN at MacMurray College.
College
I started taking a few classes at Lincoln College. I then decided I wanted to fullfill my dream of nursing and enrolled in Capital Area to obtain my LPN. I then transferred to MacMurray College to obtain my RN, BSN. I am now employed and loving my nursing career.
Workplace
I started working at LDC when I graduated high school and worked there for approximately 11 years. I then decided to go back to school and get my RN, BSN. I was employed at Memorial Hospital in Springfield. I worked on 5B which is the urology, and nephrology/transplant unit.
Now I am currently at ALMH on the medical/surgical floor and enjoying my work.
