Nina's Story
Life
Moved to northern California 10 years ago. I am married with 4 children -all 4 are married and presently we have 6 grandchildren : ) . Enjoying the sunny weather here. Live about 2 hours from San Francisco, one hour from Sacramento. Don't miss the winters in Ontario (Brrrrr!!!!!) After highschool I worked and then went to school in England and travelled Europe. Married a Californian in 1972. Lived in Lockport N.Y. and then California, then back to Canada for 23 years and now back in California.
School
I had a big crush on Eric Patchett and dated him in high school. Mrs. Kulhay inspired me most. Funny memories are:
-Singing loud in the girls locker room with Linda Fortner and Gayle Pearson.
-Mr. Foster (music teacher) always calling us peasants.
-Laughing lots with Gail Paton and Gayle Pearson.
-Watching Greg Hakita(sp.?) whipping snowballs at the chalkboard.

Favourite way to relax - surf the net
Teacher I would like to see again - Mrs. Kulhay because she was so encouraging and recommended I go for an interview to work after school 4- 5:30 each night for an orthodontist. I did and got the job - thanks Mrs. Kulhay : )

dorm with 8 girls to a room - was a very big room. All the students were international - made great friends.
Gail Paton is my oldest friend. Yearbook describes her as my sidekick. Met her in Grade 9 and we have remained loyal friends since. She is my best friend and we try to see each other once a year - she lives in Ontario, me- California. We loved to laugh and joke so much. We had a lot of similar likes and just loved to have fun. Shes a great friend.
What about me would surprise everyone at my high school reunion? - well let's just say that I haven't aged, hardly any wrinkles, only gained 5 lbs., hair is still blonde brain isn't though LOL!, Most people think I only look 35.
Well if you believe that then you probably think the same about yourself LOL!!! The blonde hair is true though : )
Childhood memory I'll never forget was when I lived in Orillia and was in grade 2 and fell in a well and clung to the sides- my sister and I were running across someones property in the winter and the snow covered the boards that over a well. The boards moved and my school books went flying and I fell through but was able to hold onto the edge. It was a very deep well and lets just say, if my sister hadn't of pulled me up I may not be here today. God must of wanted me to live.
