Nina's Story
When I was 2, my family moved from San Francisco, where I was born, to Hollywood, and we lived there until 1970. We then moved to Montebello and I attended Eastmont Elementary, Bella Vista Elementary, Macy Intermediate, and Schurr High School. I did not graduate from Schurr in 1978 because I was attacked on campus in my junior year, so I transferred to Vail. Army. After the Army, I completed an accounting associates degree at Golden West College and began a 20 plus year career in mortgage banking and real estate law. In 1998, I completed a paralegal certificate from Coastline Community College. I have traveled all over the United States and Europe. I've also been a church elder and a girl scout leader. I retired early due to Lupus and I'm a service related disabled military veteran. I'm also divorced and I have 3 grown children and 2 granddaughters. I'm doing okay.
