Update on Alumni Walkway.
The Alumni Path Foundation will create the engraved brick walkway for the Alumni, Staff, and Students of Madison Township High School, Madison Central, Cedar Ridge, and Old Bridge High School. The walkway will have 8,910 bricks to honor the 344,000 people that have been in these schools from 1961 to 2014. 2011, marks the 50th anniversary of the 1st high school ever built for this township, and the beginning of our historic journey.
The APF has been working with the Thomas Warne Museum and the Madison Township Historical Society to recreate and document the history of our growth, from the Casino & Beach Resort and farming communities to the present. Follow our Facebook pages as we start the photo journey from the past to the future.

We have begun the process for the walkway, with our surveyor and engineers beginning the drawings. We have spoken with the first students and teachers from 1961, and the Alumni and Staff from the Class of 1964. I have spoken with original Board of Education members and their families, as well as other folks that would like to be involved in the project....Expand for more
We have a limited number of bricks remaining, and we will hold any pledges for 30 days without payment before we reopen the space. Technically, the brick sale ends on April 30, 2011 or until we run out bricks.
Construction will being at the end of the school year, June 2011, and will be completed by the re-opening of school, Sept. 2011. As you can see, the project is moving quickly. Sometime during the fall 2011, we will be hosting a Dedication Ceremony for the participants of the walkway. We will have a display of memorabilia of the 50 years, from the original Beach Towels of 1961 to somethings from 2011.
So, if you are interested, order your bricks soon, and please pass this on to as many people as you know. Time is short. Also, if you have any items that you would like to share at the Dedication Ceremony, we would love to borrow them. We will return any items or donate them to the Thomas Warne Museum.
