Noreen's Story
Life
Married, 2 children: Simone (97) and Jay (99), living in Brooklyn.
Currently working as a research consultant, working on entrepreneurial, education and standards projects. Created a web app called Decision Fish where I am COO. We incubated at NYU StartEd and Impact Hub 30 for 30 and won a 2017 Changemakers award for Workforce Empowerment in the B Lab Best for NYC program.. Completed a fellowship at the Startup Leadership Program. Currently supporting several startup and nonprofit enterprises. Clients included Information Architecture Institute (operations), OWASP Foundation, Kantara Initiative, Internet Safety Labs, the Identity Ecosystem Framework Registry and Municipal Arts Society. Volunteered as a database and digitization consultant with the American Museum of Natural History (ornithology website),

e In 2013 with a masters in library science (I wasn’t the oldest student, but it was close). After Columbia, I had a short lived post as an investment banker then temped for some months (I cataloged buttons for Chanel!), before landing my first real job. I worked 7 years at Price Waterhouse in real estate research, followed by 5 years doing technical web development for the PricewaterhouseCoopers global website and many years since freelancing for information architecture and cybersecurity organizations.
Note about Classmates.com: I sort of think it is ridiculous that you can't view guestbook postings if you aren't a paid member. No other social networking site requires that!
