Norma's Story
Life
After high school, I worked for Metropolitan Life Ins. Co. for approximately 11-years. (During that time: Marriage and two children.) Then, a move to Florida, my home for nearly 25-years. During that time, I owned and operated three childrens' stores, sold them & retired for a couple of years and got "bored". So, I went back to school, and am currently working for a hospital specializing in geriatrics as a charge nurse. Since Hurricane Wilma, my family and I have decided to relocate to Upstate South Carolina and I look forward to the change of seasons again, but not so severe as Massachusetts can be. vacations on the open seas...aboard cruise ships and have been to Italy, France, Norway, Germany, and Russia, to name a few. We are hoping to eventually see Ireland, Japan, New Zealand & Australia now that I will be retiring too!
(By the way, I looked for my Grammar School...grades 1-5...on Classmates and it doesn't exist! What a shame that when they close down an old school and knock the building down it is soon forgotten. The old school had a lot of history, my dad went to school there as well. So, from 1958-1963 I didn't exist in the school system. Does anyone else out there remember the old "County Street School" in Taunton, MA?)
