Norma's Story
From Buttonwillow, left school to marry sweetheart, Bill Johnson in '61, still together. Went from junior at Shafter to junior (Bill) at U.C. Berkeley. Everyone said it would never last. Three daughters, four grandsons, four granddaughters, one great granddaughter and two great grandsons. Have own alteration business and we live in Bakersfield, same place for 27 years, except the 7 weeks when we moved to our cabin (big mistake). ...Expand for more
Sold cabin four years ago. Life is good and God loves us.
2012
Same as above except now retired, both of us, more gr grand kids total 6. Life is still good, God still loves us. Living in same house 32 years, only place I'm moving to is Greenlawn. Dr. says I will live to be 110, that remaines to be seen.
