Life
I have been married to George for 35 years(omg)! We have three great kids (Jorge, Tim, Katie). Jorgie has three children and Timmy has two. Katie has just completed her MBA and is coming back to California after living in New York and working on her career. (YEAH!
School
After graduating from Sanger I attended Fresno City College, graduated and transferred to Fresno State (January 1972). I graduated from CSU,Fresno(January 1974). I stayed until June and worked on my teaching credential. Next I transferred to the College of Notre Dame (Belmont)to complete my teaching credential while interning in Salinas (1974-75). After teaching for about 10 years I enrolled at CSU, Sacramento and received my Administrative Credential and also worked on my Master's at the same time. Workplace
I started teaching in Salinas after George and I got married in 1974 after graduating from Fresno State. I then moved to Bakersfield in 1975 (husband transferred),I taught school in Bakersfield for 7 years and then moved to Turlock, CA after husband changed careers. I taught 12 years in Turlock while attending CSU, Sacramento and working on my Administrative Credential. I have been a principal of two alternative high schools for 17 years but recently gave up one of the schools (much better for me)! SOOOO, I have stayed in education and enjoy administration tremendously. I have worked with at-risk kids since I started teaching and through my entire career. I love what I do and I hope I have made a difference in the lives I have touched. There were a lot of other things going on in between primarily concentrating on raising three kids, but in a nutshell, that's it!
