Norma's Story
Life
Well, We have finally reached an age where there are some benifits. My four children are finally catching up to us in years and the grandkids aren't far behind. Roy and I will have our 46th Anniversary in Aug.2012 not bad for two people who only knew each other 21 days before getting married.Of course I had a head start in the children department as I married a boy I meet while at Lincoln and we had two sons before he passed away.. We now have 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Roy retired in 2005 I don't get out as much as I use to but where there is a will there is a way. I love going camping in our motorhome, and fishing. Just get on my rascal scooter and off I go . I do a lot of genealogy research ,especially when Roy goes hunting. We have a lot of family get togethers and have campouts on our property with family and our many friends.I enjoy spending time sitting on the bank of the Carbon river that runs through our property watching the different birds and just listening to the water flowing by. up with a couple of you, who I went to school with since grade school. Every morning I wake up thankful to be here..
The year 2015 has not started out well, as I lost my beloved husband of over 48years, Roy passed away on Feb. 15, 2015 doing what he loved.. He was out shooting clays birds with our oldest son . He shot his last two clay birds , turned and smiled at our son and collapsed and was gone.. he always said he wanted to die in the woods hunting , well he was in the woods shooting clay birds with a gun in his hands and a chew in his mouth. I am now still in our home which I share with Roy's choc lab Katie.. Now expecting # 13 Great grandchild, time waits for no one,,
Life just keeps on rolling along
Another life changing moment..as of Sept 2021 I am being packed up and getting ready to move to a modular home on my daughters property. the home is big enough that I don't have to get rid of any of my furniture but because I'm not stable on my feet anymore my daughter doesn't want me to live alone , I fell in June and I fractured my foot. So a new adventure starts.
