Orma "Jean"'s Story
Here's my story:
College: started 1968; ended 1996 with BA
Marriage: Divorced 1987, Widowed 1994 (same man)
Children: Son, Chris, chiropractor, married to a chiropractor with their first baby born June 2008 (a girl Cassidy June), second one due August 2009. Daughter, Susan, single mother with the most wonderful 5-year-old son, Robin Davis Hill.
Parents: Dad (John), died March 2007 of pancreatic cancer at age 94. Mom (Orma) still going at almost 92 (like a slow Energizer Bunny), has had both knees replaced August and November 2007.
Me: Finally did something that I'm sure you would expect from a "goody two shoes"; went to Namibia, Africa for four months in 1996 as an administrative assistant missionary. I was enlightened more than I could have enlightened anyone else...Expand for more
. I continue to play the piano in my current church for the worship team.
I have lived in Arizona (Flagstaff and Tucson) and Escondido since graduating from high school. I currently stay home with my mother since my dad died, since she isn't able to do too much. When Dad was diagnosed with melanoma, I took a leave from work and never returned. He battled for a short nine months, but the cancer had spread too far.
I spend my days keeping up with the housework, watching sports (Dad's favorite pasttime), web-surfing, watching movies and playing with my grandson.
I am looking forward to 60 just so that I can collect my ex-husband's Social Security (greed and revenge combined).
