Pablo's Story

Well, I am originally from the Lower East Side of NYC. I lived at Baruch Houses until late 1977 and was attending, at the time, Gustave Straubenmuller JHS 22 on Columbia Street. My folks decided to move to Puerto Rico and so we bought a property in Isabela where I lived in Mora Guerrero and attended Francisco Mendoza HS. I loved my school and the people I spent that part of my life with. I had great friends and my teachers were the best. math teacher, I am so sorry if I don't remember her name but her nickname was Tomasita. I respected and admired that teacher. She helped me in my transition to HS in PR. Nonetheless I went to school there up until our graduating year, 1982. I needed 1/2 a credit to graduate but I had to wait until 1983 to take my exam to get my diploma. But Francisco Mendoza High School was the best place for me. Many knew me as Pablo and some nicknamed me Pablo Rock because of my affinity for rock. Now I reside in Paterson, NJ and work there as well. Memories have stayed pressed between the pages of my mind.
