Pace's Story
After graduating from Westminster, went to UWO and graduated with BA in 1968. Took diploma journalism course at Western and hired as reporter at the Barrie Examiner where I later became sports editor and later city editor. Transferred to Woodstock ON, later Brampton ON and then back to Barrie as managing editor, In 1987, posted to Lethbridge AB as managing editor, remaining there until I retired in 2007., Was married and had four kids in those years. in 2008, I met my current wife in Hong Kong and we married in her native Philippines in 2010...Expand for more
. We divide our time between homes in Lethbridge and in Silang, Cavite province, Philippines. She also has four kids from her first marriage and between us we have 13 grandkids so far, six in Canada and seven in the Philippines.
During my working years, I played club rugby for 20 years in London ON, Brampton and Barrie. While in Lethbridge, I played cricket and slowpitch until my late 50s. My sporting activities these days are limited to golf and swimming.
I attended the first ever Blue Jays game in Toronto and gave remained a lifelong fan.
