Paige's Story
Life
After Graduation, I worked at Hardees for a while, and then enlisted in the Air Force. I left in Feb. of 1999 for Basic Training and then went to the AF Police Academy(Tech School for Security Police). It was challenging, but a lot of fun. I got orders to Mildenhall, England and arrived July 19th. In November, I tried out for an A.C.E. Talent show on base, and sent in an application to audition for a World Wide Talent Competition at Andrews A.F.B. in Washington D.C. I made the auditions and was 1 of 35 people chosen out of hundreds to go on tour with the Premier Entertainment Showcase of the Air Force "Tops in BLUE" It was an 11 month tour and we went to 20 different countries and 132 different bases performing and working hard. We set up 40,000 lbs of equipment for every show, and cleaned and maintained it all as well.

ended up getting my orders diverted and getting stationed at Hill A.F.B. in Utah. It went well at first, and the best part was my Beautiful Daughter Taianna being born in 2002. I seperated from the Military in Febuary 2003 and left my Husband that March. (Long story) I moved to Belleville, Illinois where I knew some friends that I had met in England. They let me stay with them until I could get my feet on the ground and I did eventually. Now, I've moved to St.Louis, Missouri to be closer to my job and it's not too bad. The only thing is that I miss seeing those familiar faces from back home in Roanoke, and my best friend Karola. I am writing and recording music in my spare time and perfoming from time to time at some local venues. It's a challenge juggling everything sometimes, but I am Happy overall and know that I am blessed to be where I am today. I also know that one day all of the work and dedication will pay off and I can't wait. I'll try to keep this updated..
