Pam's Story

Since high school, I married my high-school sweetheart and worked for a while at Social Security. I quit and started a family. I have three children. I went back to college when all of my children were in school and became a teacher. I teach seventh grade math at a middle school. If anyone remembers Mrs. Stone from Curry, she was part of my inspiration to become a math teacher. Some of the other teachers that made an impact on our lives were Mrs. Gilbert, Mrs. Zachie, Mrs. Battles, Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Davies, and Mrs. Pledger. scipline in her room. It was usually the boys that got in trouble and had to use a ruler to paddle the palm of their hand until she could hear the hit and she was a little hard of hearing. Do you remember watching the airplanes out the windows during class? At Woodlawn, the best class I had was vocal. That's where I met my husband. I also loved Caroliers and Glee Club and the many productions we put on each year. Each year all of the groups out did themselves. I have been married 32 years and have four grandchildren - two girls and two boys. The Lord has blessed us.
