(I spend more time on Facebook than here although I've reconnected with so many great people from this website!)
March 2004 - Present
I haven't worked since I quit Borland Software Corporation formerly of Scotts Valley, in March 2004. I had ovarian cancer in 2003, had 6 months off in which during that time I had surgery and chemo. I developed fibromyalgia, pseudo-gout in the hands and feet, and neuropathy in my hands and arms (they go numb often) from the chemo, BUT I feel pretty good these...Expand for more
days and spend my time hanging out with my zoo of cats and dogs, enjoying life. It was 6 years on July 25th, 2009 since my last chemo and all is clear - yahoo! I'm collecting Social Security Disability since late 2005 (after it took doctors some time to diagnose me), which I deserve after working since I was 16 and putting $'s in to that account. (Who knows what the status of SSD will be in the future.) So far, life is good! (Yes, ups and downs in-between, but you gotta go with the flow....:)
