Pam's Story
It's tough to move for your senior year and yet you all made me feel comfortable and welcomed. There were a few memorable events...Somehow, my little red Volkswagen ended up under the covered walk-way!At first, I was mortified (what would my parents say) but after the guys helped lift...yes, lift...it out, I thought it was really quite funny. How about the time the school bus stopped next to the rail car filled with elongated brown things. At first, I thought they were potatoes. But then, from the rear of the bus, I heard someone say they were sugar beets...what? But, they're brown. That same voice said,"They're for brown sugar!" Way to get the naive city girl! LOL Then, there was the fire that took out the Ag dept.(I think that's what it was.)And, how could I forget BLACKOUT! Help me out, here, who was the teacher? We ...Expand for more

After graduation, we returned to the valley. I graduated from PSU, began to raise a family...one boy, one girl. Today,I have 5 grandchildren. 3 are in Yakima and 2 are in St. Roberts, Mo.
I taught for 8 years in a local Christian school. It was then that I received my Master's in teaching at WSU. I have just finished 13 years at Gardiner Middle School teaching Math. Now, I'm "learning" what it means to retire. I have started a small tutoring business and am a BeautiControl Consultant, as well. I'm busier than ever...developing both of these is hard work. I am currently single but always looking for that right guy.
