Pamela's Story
Workplace
After 20+ years working as a secretary and working mom, I changed careers and became a construction worker. As my children grew up, I needed more in my life after having made them my main focus for so long. I joined the carpenter's union in 1996 and have been working as a carpenter ever since. It is a strenuous job (especially since I am only a size 3) but it is extremely rewarding and has gotten me in the best physical condition in my life. However, as I near 50, I must consider other career options. I hope to parlay my administrative skills along with my construction training into becoming a real estate appraiser. Life and experiences go on.

e something happen. We all still have an opportunity to change our lives until the last second! I'M STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION!
UPDATE:
As of August, 2011, I am beginning my third year as a shop teacher (teaching Carpentry). I remember how much I wanted to take drafting when I attended Simeon, but school policy did not allow girls in any of the shops I wanted. Now through a wonderful blessing, I am in the classroom...teaching male and female students. Life is full of surprises!
UPDATE:
I don’t often have the chance to visit this site but you can reach out to me on Facebook. I converted to Judaism a little over 27 years ago and, as part of that process, I changed my name to Haviva Solomon. Be safe and Peace & Blessings to you all ❤️.
