I only attended from about 1962 to 1963, in 5th grade at Francis Scott Key Elementary, had several little friends, who were so kind to me, when my Mother died suddenly on January 4th, 1963, I had to move away to live with my Grandparents in Alabama. I took my goldfish to the classroom the day I had to leave, and so many of my little friends gave me gifts - I still have them - small wooden, painted Chinese Dolls, and other small items, that were so endearing. I missed my classroom, and my friends terribly, and had a hard time adjusting that first year in Alabama. I did eventually make many friends, and now am always the Chairman of every class reunion for Foley High, Class of 1970. I only have 2 pictures of some of the girls who came to my 9th birhday party, on 14th Street, before I moved to 18th Avenue.
