Pamela's Story
Hello! 40 years after graduation and I'll give this a shot, to see if I can stir some old memories up from the past and maybe locate a kindred spirit who "knew me when". After high school, I travelled a bit and eventually moved to California graduating with a 4-year degree in art in 1978 (ten years after high school). I paint large scale acrylic painting in a minimalist style...or make contructions/collage with mixed media. Moved to Key West in 1987 and earned a Master of Science in Educational Leadership. I relocated again in 1992, coming back to the mainland in N. Florida, on the Gulf Coast, in the land of Live Oak Trees and Rivers with long beautiful Indian names, sinkholes and cypress swamps. I've been working in Tallahassee Florida for the Department of Education, as a training director, since 1994. Purchased a home here in 2001. ng potential levels of awareness in hopes of remaining centered in an off-centered world; an on-going quest. My biggest surprise is how quickly life flows by and how important it is to celebrate the moments as they appear. Another surprise is that I am actually writing this up and submitting it. Remaining in the present has been a long struggle but I'm making ground. I just returned from Hawaii and having the means to retire from the 8-5 and return at will, to plug into that special Aloha spirit in Kauai and the other Islands, would be heaven. I've lost touch with all the folks from HS, tho I remain close and in contact with a few very special folks from my Jr. High crowd. (those formative years) I hope my old friends remember me as an interesting personality; creative, kind, and trustworthy, a small light, sharing an orbit for a time; Who ever may read this, good luck to you and much success and happiness.
