Pamela's Story
There needs to be another choice in the Q&A "What do you get paid to do?" question. I do plenty, but nobody pays me except my share from my husband's paychecks.
I used to get paid for making dance costumes, front office work, working the accounts payable for a homebuilder, and as a secretary in the city Parks & Rec. dept., but I quit everything in the Spring of 1990, when I felt like I needed to be home for a while. And I did.

t, was the craft counselor at a summer camp, organized numerous neighborhood events and help whoever needs me. It's all done in love, and I don't ask for money.
I've also spent a great deal of time with two of our grandsons. When the younger one gets bored, he calls and asks if I can come over and play. I spent the week between Christmas and New Year's Eve with them, and we had lots of fun playing with the new toys and games.
Our oldest grandson graduates (what?!) from high school in May, and I'm already working on ideas for his cake. It should be spectacular because in New Mexico, fireworks are legal!
And we travel, which I love. I wish my husband felt the need to retire so we could buy a motorhome and go wherever the road takes us.
