Pamela's Story
Life
I was the one who lived with her great-grandmother...
who rode her bike everywhere...
was a tom-boyish nerd...
was kinda quiet/shy...
played the guitar, violin, viola (and later) the trumpet...
usually had a hat on...
Some things don't change.
My great-grandmother passed in 1989.
I don't ride as much.
Still tom-boyish and nerdy
Not as shy but not loud or obnoxious
I now focus on the bass guitar.
I still have "hat-ti-tude".
I am still in Brooklyn, NY with my girlfriend/partner of six years. No children or pets. I have worked in various aspects of construction in NY and NJ. Carpenter in the Carpenters' Union, Admin Assistant, Cashier/Sales in a hardware store are some of what I have done in this field. (My first job as a carpenter was building the Foley Square Courthouse on Pearl Street in Manhattan back in 1993 or 1994. ) Currently I work as a construction expediter. I apply for construction permits/approvals for buildings at various NYC agencies such as Dept. of Buildings, NYFD, DEP,
DOT etc.
I am playing the bass guitar and loving it!! I've performed locally solo and with different bands.
I still look the same and I am about the same height...I just grew horizontally. (Damn!!!!) A few more tattoos and ear/facial piercings, glasses (!!!), but basically (or rather, BAASSIK(ly)-say "basic", my performing/pen name,) I am the same. Would love to hear from you...Expand for more
, especially from/about the following people (maiden names listed):
1. Bridget Howard-You were a friend back when people did not know what to do with me. (They still don't!!!) UPDATE: Spoke with her in September 2007. She's still crazy !!
2. Michelle McDonald Last time we met it was about 1987 or 1990. Hope all is well.
3. Addretta Wade-You were so funny...along with ....
4. Michael McConnyhead- Boy, you better be doing you comedy, writing and/or music. Talented and misunderstood guy. We actually speak now.
5. Andre Harris- I hear from him every so often. My "big brother"
6. Lenny Moax- The "cool/only white guy". Excuse me if I am being un"PC". But he was a nice guy and I wish him well.
7. Lisa Washington- Michelle, Lisa and myself were thick as fleas!
8. Laverne Hardwick- My "cousin" and "big-little sister". She had more sense than some adults and is still a great woman. Call me!!!
9. Sheila Henry- Thank you for "painfully" teaching me, twice,to stand up for myself. NO ONE HAS TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF ME SINCE !!!
10. "Gary" - Are you still "Walking forwards and looking backwards?" You mother was our mother and I wish you and your family well.
Now, how is it that I remember the last names of most of these people from thirty years ago and I can't remember where I put my keys ten minutes ago?!?
