Pamela's Story
Well lets see, Im now 54 years old. I have lived in Maine all of my life. I now live in a rural area about 50 miles North of my hometown of South Portland,ME. I lived and went to school in Vergennes VT (Nortlands Job Corp Center) back in 1980 for about a year. I was in Dorm 22 up on the hill, and functioned as Student Residential Advisor during the year i was there. Its been a long time, and i cant remember alot of people from there, but do have a few that i do remember pretty well. I fondly remember bus trips with everyone to the Shelburne museum.
I am married, with 2 sons. My oldest is 21, and youngest is 13. Life has been pretty darned good to ...Expand for more
me. I have great parents, and siblings, and friends.
I work at MMC still, and spend most of my spare time doing the usual mommy things, as well as advocating and educating people about Autism.
My youngest son has low functioning autism, and is non verbal. He is the center of my families world. Raising a child with special needs definately consumes alot of time and energy, but its all worth it, he is such a joy and brings so much love and laughter to our home.
My other interest is still taking photos.
