Workplace I have been a public school teacher since 1989. I taught third grade in Spanish for seven years. Then, I taught third grade in English for seven years. I taught other grades too. Now, I am preparing to teach Kindergarten for my last two years before I retire in 2014. They like to sing a lot more than the older kids so it's more fun. My master's degree is in curriculum and instruction. Military I joined the Navy in 1972 and did bootcamp in Bainbridge, Maryland. I went to Air Traffic Control school in Glencoe, Georgia. I was an Air Traffic Controller at Miramar until my tour of duty ended in 1975. I worked at China Lake as a civilian air traffic controller for a one year temporary assignment that ended in 1976. It was too boring. Family I got married in 1977 to Alberto Enrique Menegus, from Mexico City. He works at San Diego Gas and Electric Environmental Laboratory as their Quality Control supervisor and he runs the lab. My husband and I adopted a 3 year old girl from San Diego County.
