Paris's Story
Life
Well, I graduated from VA Tech and the Va Tech Corps of Cadets (Class of '95) with a B.S. in Ocean Engineering. As an ensign, I served as an engineering officer aboard USS INDEPENDENCE (CV-62) from Aug 1996 thru Aug 1998 in Yokosuka, Japan. I was promoted to Lieutenant (Junior Grade) on Indy and then served as Ordnance and Fire Control Officer aboard USS REUBEN JAMES (FFG-57) from Oct 1998 thru May 2000 in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, where I was promoted to Lieutenant. o Monterey, California to begin work on my master's degree at the Naval Postgraduate School. I married Helen Maria Fortner (now Helen M. Crenshaw, of course) in June of 2000. We had our official church ceremony in October of last year at VA Tech. We had identical twin daughters in March of 2002, after a difficult pregnancy. The girls were three months premature but managed to survive the trials of the intensive care nursery and are doing quite well. Much of their story can be seen on our family website, but it's very out of date. With school and family, I don't have much in the way of free time, anymore.
