Patricia's Story

Life --- First off, please let me apologize for all the dumb, thoughtless, stupid things that I did in school. (You know if you are one who deserves an apology from me). If, on the other hand, I deserve an apology from you- well don't worry--all is good, no hard feelings. My senior year is kind of a blur to me, so, no telling... Now, having said that: my life has been pretty boring. I have not accomplished any major feats, I'm not rich, no 15 minutes of fame even. For me it is just a regular job, kids and home-- and on rare occassions-a wine cooler. After all, I noted on my "Goals for the Future" paper in Senior English class that, "I wanted to own a new car, a fur coat and a diamond ring" for my life's goals. (Other kids had lofty ideals and wanted to be doctors, nurses, lawyers, social workers, teachers and live to see world peace.) A good party was more to my liking. I'm still in the Dallas area. I have 1 daughter who is a freshman in college, 1 son in in the Navy and 1 son that is 37 yrs old. It seems like I had much more fun in high school than my teeangers do now. I guess we could get by with more and do more crazy...Expand for more
things back then. Things were safer then, and the police much more sympathetic to a dumb teenager. Plus, it is much harder now for a teenager to buy Strawberry Hill and cigarettes. Or maybe, I know what all I did in school so I just keep a very close watch on my teenagers and spoil their fun. Plus, they don't have an Astro Drive-in anymore, cruising at Keist Park and Hampton/Illinois, or Hide and Seek at the golf course. There are so many people that I wonder about from time to time. Please contact me and let me know how you are doing. I would love to hear from you and take a short walk down memory lane. I don't care if you are a brain surgeon or bar tender now-I tend to see things through rose colored glasses and just want to catch up on the past forty years.
